We are currently working with other local schools to ensure a united approach to promoting e-safety.
On Wednesday 25 March we ran a very important information evening for parents on E-safety and your child. The meeting was led by PC Graham Briggenshaw and WPCSO Wendy Taylor.
There has been much news in the media about the dangers children face when communicating online. Sadly, the potential risks do not only relate to children of secondary school age – many primary children are being exposed to inappropriate games and activities, possibly when with their friends or when the bedroom door is closed.
It is vital that we, as parents and educators, are fully aware of the very real risks that our children do and could face when playing online games; inappropriate use of mobile phones and connecting to others via the internet.
I cannot stress enough how important it is that we are all fully aware and informed so that we can protect our children should they be faced with a dilemma which we know is not safe. Please don’t leave it until it is too late to find out what is happening in your children’s lives.
