Committed staff, effective governors and supportive parents are what make Whitchurch Combined School the success it is for our pupils. We also work closely with the wider community to ensure that our pupils benefit from the richness and opportunities of being educated in a village school.
Our Governing Body works very closely with the school to achieve our aims. The highlight of the Governor Calendar is our annual Governors’ Day when governors take part in a ‘Governors Question Time’ in assembly, followed by taking on the role of Teaching Assistants throughout the school!
“Governors are rightly proud of the school. They share the high ambition of enabling each pupil to, ‘Be the best you can be’.
Governors are well trained and knowledgeable and offer good support to the school with the drive to improve.” Local Authority Review 2013
Our active and creative PTA work passionately to make sure that funds are raised to provide the special extras which support the teaching and learning activities for all of our children.
We have committed parents who support the ethos of our school, working with the staff and governors to ensure the very best outcomes are achieved for their children.
