Who are we?
Whitchurch School Association is a registered charity, made up of a committee of Parents and Teachers (PTA).
What we do, why do we do it and who benefits?
We meet every 4-6 weeks and our meetings are very informal, usually held at the school or pub. Our aim is to raise funds for the school (while having fun!) to buy additional equipment to further enhance the facilities available to pupils within the school. We organise a variety of events throughout the year to fit around and compliment the busy life of the school and families alike. During the last year we have held Discos, a Summer Fete and a Christmas Fayre, cake sales and sold Christmas cards designed by the children.
Your generous support at these events means that we raise in the region of £8-9k per year for the school to spend on enhancing the facilities that all our children benefit from!
The fantastic support we receive from our parent community has allowed us to proudly fund the following projects at the school in recent years:
What are we hoping to achieve next?
Each year, the school give us a wish list that we consider as a group. One of their wishes is to create an outdoor library, where the children can enjoy quiet time or group reading.
How can you get involved?
Getting in touch …
If you would like to get involved as a volunteer or committee member, offer your skills, or if you have a fundraising idea you’d like to share, kindly offer your matched funding, make a cash donation of any size (just £5 would buy a new book for the library!), or would simply like to find out more about Whitchurch School Association and the work we do, we would love to hear from you!
