Growing Today, Ready for Tomorrow

Welcome

Welcome to Whitchurch Combined School.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Whitchurch Combined School website. Our vision is that every child attending our school will have the opportunity to develop their full academic and personal potential in a caring and stimulating environment. This is encapsulated in our vision: Growing today, ready for tomorrow.

The safety and well being of our pupils is paramount. Safeguarding training is undertaken by all staff; e-safety training is offered to parents; through assemblies and lessons children learn how to keep themselves safe.

We pride ourselves in providing an excellent, exciting, broad and balanced curriculum and ensuring high standards in the core subjects of Reading, Writing and Maths. Our aim is that all pupils should develop as independent learners, have excellent social and emotional skills and fulfil their potential.

Our pupils have positive attitudes to learning, high standards of behaviour and a pride in their school. This is nurtured by the supportive parents, carers and governors, inspiring and skilled teachers and excellent support staff.

We are extremely proud of the varied opportunities that are offered to our pupils across the curriculum and as extra-curricular activities. They have further opportunities to learn through a wide range of educational visits and events, including residential trips in Year 3 and Year 5. There is a shared drive to constantly review, improve and enrich our curriculum to ensure learning is relevant, exciting and engaging for all our pupils.

There is so much more to Whitchurch Combined School than academic, sporting or musical success and we would be pleased to welcome you to our school to experience our exciting, vibrant and happy environment for yourself.
