Whitchurch Combined School

Growing Today, Ready for Tomorrow

Wednesday

Today I would like you to write just one amazing line for a poem. You are going to share that line with the class on a 2blog on Purple mash and then I am going to use all the lines to make one amazing class poem which I will share on class dojo. It’s going to be brilliant!

Our joint poem is going to be about wintertime. For inspiration I would like you to watch https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p095jq8h This is 15 minutes of beautiful sounds and images. Try to be somewhere nice and calm and quiet so that you can really enjoy them.

When you get to a part that you really love then stop and describe it.

- You only need to write one line.

- Make it as descriptive as you can and try and use at least one adventurous word that you have never used before.

- Make it in present tense so that the whole poem will read like we are in the landscape experiencing it.

When you have finished, then log on to Purple Mash using this link https://www.purplemash.com/app/link/2blogchildren#/app/blog/6015775f93e6132bb90c1f72/

Click on the + to add a new topic and write your line.

I will take all your marvellous lines and put them together to form a class poem which I will share on class dojo by the end of the week. :)
