Maths

With all actvities, remember to be as practical as possible. Here are some ideas:

  • looking for numbers around the home
  • counting out toys, knifes and forks for dinner, threading beads
  • using fingers to hold up amounts
  • pop numbers on post-it notes around the house and your child will need to find them and say them, next time extend this to finding them and putting them in order etc

Anything counting, number recognition or ordering will be great at this stage.

Counting and Pattern Making Activities.

Although these are worksheets, they do not have to be printed as the activties could be done in a different way, using physical objects.
