Aims and Objectives

Whitchurch Combined School offers a varied and creative DT curriculum.

Children are encouraged to apply their skills in a wide range of contexts with specific focus on purposeful research, design, construction and evaluation.

The modern world constantly uses DT. A chef in a kitchen, a gardener, motorists, police... you name it!

All of these people (and just about everyone else) relies on the expanding levels of design and technology every day.

Are you able to spot a need in the world? Can you spot something that people want? What value will it offer the world?

These questions dominate the train of thought in DT and offer our children a real and relevant opportunity to develop their skills.
