Peer Mentors

Each year ten year six children are chosen to be Peer Mentors. They receive training from the MHST and give their time all year to help to support the wellbeing of the younger children in the school.

Each lunchtime there are Peer Mentors on duty on the playgrounds. They are there to be a listening ear if needed. They also look out for children who might want someone to play with and organise and run games.

The peer mentors also act as mental health ambassadors in the school. They run assemblies and provide another way for other children to talk if something is worrying them.
