Sports Funding

Primary Schools Sports Funding

The Government has pledged to provide extra funding to Primary Schools to support sports.

It is proposed that each primary school will receive an amount of money to be spent directly on sports and healthy living related activities. The schools may choose how to allocate this funding, based on government guidance.

At Whitchurch Combined School, we intend to build on our already well developed sports program and have a clear development plan for the allocation of this funding.

The following document: 'Use of PE and Sports Funding' outlines how the money has been spent in 2017-2018 at our school.

We will continue to survey interests, through pupil voice, as part of our ongoing program for sports and healthy living.

Our commitment to Sport and Health has facilitated us being awarded the Gold Sports Mark Kite.
